What If?

What if we accepted suffering as purification?  The refining of God’s people?

What if we weren’t surprised as if something strange were happening to us when suffering?

What if we rejoiced in our suffering?

What if while we suffered according to God’s will, we entrusted our souls to a faithful Creator while doing good?

What if, at the end of these tests, our faith may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ when His glory is revealed?

What if? it’s all worth it for this:

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

Taken from 1 Peter 1:6-9, 4:12-19, 5:10
