Nothing Can Be the Best Something

Mom, what are we doing tonight?

Happily, I say, “nothing.”

Frowns ensue.

But, they quickly dissolve.

I’m asking myself these days…

Since when did this become nothing?


This isn’t just something.

It’s one of the best of the somethings.
